Job Summary: Experienced Mechanical Fitters are sought for factory-based roles in Leeds, with responsibility for maintaining and repairing complex machinery systems. These include batching plants, conveyors, HVAC systems, and fabricating and welding.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge base, proficiency in electrical systems, including logic controllers, and experience in supervising maintenance staff and providing guidance on best practices.

Responsibilities include conducting routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, performing electrical repairs and maintenance, utilizing welding techniques as necessary, and collaborating with other departments to address maintenance needs promptly.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including logic controllers
  • Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for customer interactions

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is £40,000-£60,000, depending on experience. Jark PLC offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
