About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our team at Tameside College. As a Teacher in Hairdressing and Barbering, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and develop teaching and learning programs using a range of strategies and learning styles.
- Take responsibility for the quality of teaching and related curriculum development to meet learner needs.
- Assess learner progress and devise assessment processes against personalized progress targets.
- Oversee the in-house training restaurant.
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic, resilient, and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
- Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent).
- Relevant experience in the Hairdressing and Barbering sector.
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment.
- Relevant assessment qualifications – IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
