Fernways School, owned and operated by Kedleston Group Limited, is an independent day school providing specialist education to young people with Autism. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the daily operation of the site and maintenance of the school grounds.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Site Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep of the school's fabric and grounds, as well as supporting the daily operational needs of the school.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external contractors. You will also possess a strong attention to detail and be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure the school is kept clean and tidy, including the monitoring and testing of building systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Security: Ensure arrangements are in place for the locking and unlocking of school buildings, operation of security alarm systems, and response to emergency call outs out of hours.
  • Maintenance Stock: Ensure the maintenance stock of cleaning materials and chemicals remains sufficient to meet the ongoing needs of the school.
  • School Vehicles: Perform weekly maintenance and safety checks on all school vehicles, maintaining a log, and carry out driving duties to meet operational requirements.
