Job Overview

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Specialist to join a large Primary School in Dudley, known for its nurturing environment and commitment to creating happy, confident individuals.

This school has received a 'Good' Ofsted rating and is currently looking for an experienced professional to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing challenging behaviour and implementing effective strategies to enhance students' learning experiences in the classroom.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs, working closely with teachers and other professionals to develop effective strategies for improving student outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing individualised behaviour plans
  • Providing one-to-one support to students
  • Collaborating with teachers to improve classroom behaviour and reduce disruptions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of SEMH and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour and implementing effective strategies
  • An ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
  • Relevant qualifications, including Team Teach/Positive Handling/De-escalation Training Desired, SEND Certificate and SEND qualifications beneficial
Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note that all pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
