Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs to navigate their educational journey and promote their mental and emotional well-being.

About the Role

This is a temporary position with the option to become permanent. You will work closely with students, teachers, and families to provide individualised support and encouragement necessary for students to succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offering one-on-one and group support to students with SEN and SEMH needs, helping them build emotional resilience and well-being.
  • Assisting students with coping strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.
  • Helping students develop social and emotional skills to thrive in the school environment.
  • Working closely with teachers, special educational staff, and parents to create and implement individualised support plans.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, self-confidence, and independence among students.
  • Supporting students to manage their mental health needs and providing a safe, supportive space when required.
