About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team in Cellular Pathology. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for examining pathological samples using various technologies and reporting or presenting the results as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the examination of pathological samples using various technologies
- Report or present the results as appropriate
- Work in different sections of the department to gain knowledge and skills necessary to contribute towards the provision of an accurate and timely service for patients
About Us
Leeds Teaching Hospitals is a leading healthcare provider, and our department provides Histopathology, Andrology, Immunohistochemistry, Muscle, Molecular, Non Gynae Cytology, and mortuary services. We are a well-equipped and innovative department, being the first laboratory in the UK to digitally scan 100% of surgical slides and introducing the UK's first automated tissue sectioners.

Requirements
- HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist
- IBMS approved degree
- Evidence of participation in CPD
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Already working towards the IBMS Specialist Diploma
- Service improvement experience
