Job Title: Electronics Engineer

Segula Technologies is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to provide electronic engineering support to our manufacturing and test departments, and support our Design Engineering team with the implementation of new products, writing Test Specifications and Test Reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electronic systems engineering knowledge and skills to engineering projects.
  • Produce and check technical documentation, including specifications, electronic design information, test plans and specifications, and technical reports.
  • Support the Test, Production, and Quality Departments throughout the product cycle.
  • Produce evidence to support conformance verification to standards, including BS EN50155.
  • Investigate failures of electronic systems and components, determine root cause, and present findings.
  • Specify test equipment and specifications to undertake measurements or monitoring of electrical and electronic systems and equipment while in operation.
  • Support external compliance testing within the UK.
  • Support production installation abroad if required.
  • Ensure all reports participate in Health and Safety management processes.
  • Investigate and report on failed or defective components in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronic engineering.
  • Experience working in an electronic test facility, ideally with sub-assembly build knowledge.
  • Practical experience with Railway/Rolling Stock electronics development.
  • Experience with control systems.
  • Experience writing test specifications and reports.
Desirable:
  • Experience working in electronic design and development environments.
  • Experience using Electronic CAD systems, such as Altium PCB Designer and AutoCAD.
  • Experience and knowledge in design for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Experience with National Instruments Lab View platform.
Additional Information:
  • 6-12 month contract.
  • Salary/Rate - DOE.
  • Inside IR35.
