Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensive Care Transfer Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, resuscitate, and stabilise critically unwell patients in intensive care medicine or anaesthesia settings.
  • Deliver unplanned emergency anaesthesia outside the operating theatre to critically ill patients with remote supervision.
  • Manage and care for complex cases with appropriate supervision.
  • Participate in audit and clinical governance processes.
  • Organise and prioritise workload, demonstrating good clinical judgement and initiative.
Requirements
  • Full General Medical Council (UK) registration with Licence to Practice.
  • FFICM or FRCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Advanced Life Support provider, trauma course provider (ATLS / ETC).
  • Demonstrate the 4 Trust values of We are supportive, respectful, innovative and collaborative.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • CCT in Intensive Care Medicine or Anaesthesia.
  • Other membership, fellowship or diplomas.
  • Relevant specialist courses (eg. difficult airways, ultrasound etc).
