Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality cardiac anaesthesia and critical care services to patients undergoing adult cardiac surgery and other cardiac procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the cardiac anaesthesia team to provide a comprehensive service that meets the needs of patients and the trust.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines related to cardiac anaesthesia and critical care.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement activities to enhance the quality of care and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration and a CCT in Anaesthesia or equivalent.
  • Accreditation in transoesophageal echocardiogram and experience in adult cardiac anaesthesia and critical care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
