About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Gardener to join our team at the National Trust. As a key member of our gardening team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our gardens and estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planting and maintenance of shrubs, borders, and lawns
  • Perform daily gardening tasks, including mulching, hedge cutting, and lawn mowing
  • Work alongside gardeners and volunteers to achieve team goals
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, answering questions and sharing knowledge about the gardens
  • Operate a range of machinery and equipment, including tractors, hedge trimmers, and pedestrian mowers
