About the Job

This exciting opportunity has become available within Sussex Community Foundation Trust - Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team as a band 3 therapy assistant to provide therapy, support, and care to patients in the community in their own homes.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with people and possesses excellent communication skills. This part-time position (30 hours, 4 days a week) is perfect for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

The successful candidate will have experience in a healthcare environment, possess good observation, empathy, and listening skills, and be able to follow instructions from senior staff. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • To be an active member of the adult SLT team and contribute to the provision of a comprehensive clinical service to all clients referred with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
  • To implement supervised clinical tasks as directed by SLTs within the team in a range of acute and community settings.
  • To ensure sufficient procedures are in place to provide safe and effective administrative support to clinical staff.
