Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at GPS Hospitality. As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Restaurant General Manager in achieving business objectives and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction by leading and developing a team of dedicated restaurant staff.
  • Train and coach team members to achieve operational excellence and meet sales targets.
  • Utilize GPS Hospitality's systems and processes to drive restaurant performance and improve efficiency.
  • Implement effective controls and procedures to manage cash, inventory, and labor costs.
  • Set and meet restaurant goals for service, operations, and financial results.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
