Bloomberg L.P. is a leading global business and financial news organization. We are seeking an experienced editor to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality news explainations.

About the Role:

  • As an editor, you will be responsible for commissioning and editing news explainations related to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
  • You will work closely with a small, global team to ensure that our content is accurate, engaging, and meets the highest standards.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  1. Content Creation: Develop and edit news explainations that provide context and insight into complex financial and business topics.
  2. Collaboration: Work with colleagues across different platforms, including video, audio, and magazines, to adapt and expand text explainations for various formats.
  3. Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to identify key trends and topics that require explanation and provide data-driven insights to inform our content.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure that all content meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and engagement.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in a similar editing role in a news organization.
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality content that resonates with audiences.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on data visualizations, video, audio, and/or events.
  • Knowledge of web publishing tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a global team.
