Geography Teacher Opportunity in Blackburn

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher to join our team at a popular Good secondary school in Blackburn. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography to key stage 3 & 4 classes of various academic abilities.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, five days a week, with a start date in the near future. The ideal candidate will have a good classification in Geography and a Secondary QTS in the same subject. Previous experience working with young people and teaching Geography in a UK Secondary School is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Geography to key stage 3 & 4 classes
  • Plan and deliver captivating, high-standard lessons
  • Attend departmental meetings and be available for parents' evenings
  • Contribute to the development of the department and school
Requirements
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
  • Up-to-date Prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years
  • Up-to-date behaviour management training
