Job Details:

A temporary Geography Teacher position is available at a Good secondary school in Blackburn, starting from after October half term until the Easter break. The successful candidate will be required to teach Geography to key stage 3 & 4 classes of various academic abilities.

This is a full-time, five days a week position, open to both experienced teachers and ECTs. The school is looking for a dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher who can become fully involved within the department and attend departmental meetings when required.

The school has high expectations of its students, and the successful candidate will be expected to deliver captivating, high-standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning.

  • Minimum rate of pay from GBP162.31 per day
  • Hours: 8:30am - 4pm
Requirements:
  • Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Geography
  • Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Geography
  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Experience of teaching Geography in a UK Secondary School
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
  • Up to date Prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years
  • Up to date behaviour management training
Eligibility:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45
