Bondcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team at Richmond Court.

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of meals for our residents. Your expertise will ensure that our menu offerings are not only delicious but also meet the dietary needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff members in food preparation, presentation, and hygiene procedures.
  • Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence in culinary arts.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, taking into account individual resident preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.

Health and Safety:
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is stored safely.
  • Ensure that statutory health and safety standards are met in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Report any accidents or incidents to the Home Manager or Person in Charge.
  • Understand and implement the Care Centre's health and safety policy and emergency procedures.
  • Report any faulty appliances or potential hazards to the Home Manager or Person in Charge.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a senior chef in a residential care setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols and procedures.
