Old Age Psychiatrist Community Lead

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Old Age Psychiatrist to lead our community-based services for older adults. The successful candidate will provide medical leadership for a multidisciplinary team, delivering assessment and treatment for patients with functional and organic illness.
The post holder will work closely with consultant colleagues within the acute care system and the liaison service to ensure coordinated care. A key focus will be on developing links with the wider multidisciplinary team and primary care colleagues.
The job plan is flexible to accommodate clinical and professional interests, including time for teaching and research. The Trust is committed to providing high-quality care with compassion and is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we care for.

Key Responsibilities:
- To lead the multidisciplinary team in providing excellent psychiatric care.
- To provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
- To lead weekly MDT meetings and ensure prompt reviews of acutely unwell patients.
- To work closely with the CRHTT OP, community teams, and liaison services as patients move between these teams.
