IT Technician Wanted in Sunderland

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our team in Sunderland. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing first-line ICT support to staff and students within the academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-line ICT support to staff and students within the academy.
  • Assist with maintaining ICT rooms and equipment, ensuring up-to-date software and hardware inventories.
  • Manage your workload efficiently by handling requests through the Helpdesk.
  • Provide general technical support to the ICT department.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new and existing software.
  • Develop systems to monitor and record ICT usage.
  • Offer technical support for staff presentations and school events.
  • Commission, maintain, test, and repair electronic/computer systems, peripherals, and AV equipment, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Assist Managers with Portable Appliance Testing, following Health and Safety legislation.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, accessing learning opportunities and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • Strong IT skills.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about improving the educational experience for students.
  • Previous experience of working within a similar role is essential.
