Kitchen Assistant Professional

At Folkestone Girls, we are committed to serving high-quality meals that meet the needs of our students and staff. We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant Professional to join our catering team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing and cooking large quantities of food in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Catering Manager in preparing and cooking meals, with a focus on desserts.
Salary: £24,040 - £25,002 per annum (FTE), negotiable depending on experience.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 training days.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and has excellent communication skills. If you are a motivated and organized individual who enjoys working in a team environment, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Catering Manager in preparing and cooking meals for students and staff
- Prepare hot and cold food, snacks, and beverages for site consumption
- Supervise the kitchen team and promote a positive working atmosphere
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or in a busy kitchen environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
