Key Responsibilities

As a Band 5 Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to community hospitals, mainly based in Bodmin and/or Camborne Redruth or west of Cornwall area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a comprehensive medicines management service to patients on these wards, including medicines reconciliation, prescription review and endorsement, recycling of medication, supporting self-medication, and patient and carer counselling.
  • Working closely with the pharmacy team to deliver clinical pharmacy and safe systems of working with medicines across other community hospital and mental health sites.
  • Supervising and supporting education and training activities, such as student technicians, student pharmacists, and pre-registration pharmacists.
  • Specialising in specific areas such as Parkinson's or Medicines Safety, if the opportunity arises.

We offer a competitive salary of £27,750 - £33,893 per annum, part-time flexible working, and compressed hours.
