About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Telford. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT network, ensuring its integrity and availability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Daily Monitoring Checks: Perform daily checks to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, network, and server resources, systems, and key processes.
  2. Network Administration: Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, systems software, application software, administrative tools, and utilities.
  3. Project Support: Support and lead projects and solution provision, following through until implementation.
  4. Security Monitoring: Perform regular security monitoring to identify intrusions and implement appropriate security measures at a network and server level.
  5. Backup and Replication: Setup backup and replication jobs, verify success, and conduct regular testing.
Requirements and Skills
  • Networking Knowledge: Strong networking knowledge is essential for this role.
  • Active Directory: Experience in active directory and group policy management is required.
  • Windows and macOS: Windows and macOS setup, configuration, management, and troubleshooting skills are necessary.
  • Microsoft Intune: Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure, ZTNA, and modern workplace would be ideal.
  • Organisational Skills: Proven planning and organisational skills are required.
