We are part of Lancaster University's Sport Department, dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for our members. Our purpose-built Sports Centre features a variety of facilities, including an 8.5m climbing wall, multi-function sports halls, swimming pool, sauna & steam room, and more.
We cater to students across the UK, university staff, and the local community, proudly hosting national events throughout the year. Our team prides themselves on their knowledge and expertise in their chosen areas, always available to guide and advise our customers.
About the Role
We are seeking a responsive Climbing Instructor to deliver group training courses and other related climbing services to an exceptional level. Your role will ensure safe and effective working practices are in place, meeting our high customer standards.
You will work as part of our operational team, regularly available to provide help and advice in the climbing wall. This shift-based position requires early mornings, evenings, weekends, university closure days, and bank holidays. You must be able to arrive at the Sports Centre ready to start work at scheduled times.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work independently, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess a valid First Aid certificate.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £22,000 - £24,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
