About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team at SMS Environmental. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest safety standards for people within UK communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential Legionella risks in water systems
  • Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to prevent Legionella outbreaks
  • Collaborate with our Quality Control/Assurance team to ensure delivery of related documentation to regulatory standards
  • Compile accurate schematic diagrams of domestic water systems
  • Monitor risks and stay up-to-date with UK Health & Safety regulatory legislation and practice
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the Water Hygiene Industry and/or conducting Risk Assessments
  • Strong understanding of ACoP L8, HSG274 part 2, BS and other relevant industry standards and guidance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly within Apple applications
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (Enhanced DBS check)

About SMS Environmental

For over 23 years, SMS Environmental has been a leading water hygiene service provider throughout the UK, ensuring the public are protected from infectious diseases that can be carried through water systems. We provide essential services to an array of domestic and commercial clients, including water testing, risk assessments, air sampling, and air conditioning maintenance.
