About the Team

We are proud to have a diverse team of professionals working together to deliver high-quality services to autistic individuals. Our team includes nurses, occupational therapy, psychology, peer support workers, psychiatry as well as Speech and Language therapists.

We provide both a diagnostic service and a Transforming Care autism team, working with individuals who are at risk of admission or already in acute inpatient care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programmes to build capacity in the wider system, focusing on social communication needs relating to autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Lead the development of the SLT service, ensuring Speech and Language Therapy is fully integrated into the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Clinical supervision of other SLTs within the Transforming Care autism team and those working in other services contributing to ND assessments.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a strong background in Speech and Language Therapy, with experience of working with autistic individuals. You will also require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
