About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Professional to join our team at Tempest Resourcing Limited. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, including severe autism, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized education plans for students.
  2. Provide one-on-one support to students in the classroom, during activities, and in other settings as needed.
  3. Assist with the implementation of behavioral strategies and positive reinforcement techniques to promote student engagement and success.
  4. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents.
  5. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as special education, behavior management, and communication strategies.

What You'll Need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
