Deputy Research Facility Coordinator

We are looking for a highly motivated Deputy Laboratory Manager / Assistant Live Lab Manager to join our team at AWD online. The successful candidate will have a BSc in Biology or another relevant subject and laboratory experience.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Live Labs Manager, Lab Operations Coordinator, and Apprentice Lab Technician to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory. Your responsibilities will include managing laboratory equipment and facilities, ensuring their safe maintenance and scheduling of maintenance to minimize disruptions to users.
You will also oversee the day-to-day running of the laboratory, including cleaning, laundry, and waste management services. Additionally, you will assist with maintaining safety, health, and environmental impact standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- BSc in Biology or relevant subject with laboratory experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Technical expertise in biological research settings
- Health and Safety experience, specifically Biological Safety
