About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the Waveney Area, delivering our Domestic Abuse Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive an exceptional level of support, using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized safety and support plans, working closely with customers to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Support customers to manage risk and take positive risks to enhance their wellbeing, collaborating with other agencies to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and referrals, ensuring the safety of customers, colleagues, and our buildings.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to promote the service and drive excellence.
  • Facilitate connections to the local community, enabling customers to access new networks, opportunities, and resources.
Requirements
  • Strong advocacy skills, with the ability to understand and recognize the experiences of our customers.
  • Relevant experience in the field of domestic abuse services or a related field.
  • Ability to manage complex and challenging situations.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals.
  • Support and safety planning experience.

Person Specification
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 9-4 / A-C or equivalent).
  • A full driving licence is desirable.
