Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior HSE Coordinator to join our team at Alfanar Projects. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with HSE Records and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE-related activities, including inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Support HSE Initiatives: Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and other departments to identify and mitigate potential HSE risks.
  • Conduct Workplace Inspections: Perform regular inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support HSE Training and Awareness: Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training programs to ensure employees are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and Report HSE Performance: Track and analyze HSE performance metrics, including incident rates, near misses, and compliance audits.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., environmental science, occupational health and safety) and at least 2 years of experience in HSE, including industrial site experience.
  • Certifications and Training: Possess or be working towards NEBOSH General Certificate and IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, driven personality, and ambition to further a career in Health & Safety Management.
