Job Title: Building Surveyor - Scotland

Sedgwick Building Consultancy Division is seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join our team in Scotland. As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading numerous projects to reinstate commercial and domestic properties following damage by an insured peril.

About the Role:

You will be involved in a wide range of surveying activities, including technical reporting, defects diagnosis, preparing Schedule of Works, contract administration, and project management. You will work closely with colleagues in the Loss Adjusting teams to build relationships and bring non-insurance clients on board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects to reinstate commercial and domestic properties following damage by an insured peril
  • Conduct technical reporting, defects diagnosis, and prepare Schedule of Works
  • Administer contracts and manage projects to ensure robust control of time, cost, and quality
  • Work closely with Loss Adjusting teams to build relationships and bring non-insurance clients on board
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of building construction and relevant legislation
  • Manage a workload and make reasoned decisions under pressure
