Clinical Care Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Worker to join our team in the Ophthalmology Department at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support the organization and running of theatre lists.
Main Responsibilities- Work under the direction of a registered nurse, providing nursing care and assistance to patients within defined parameters.
- Document patient care and perform agreed clinical tasks, clerical duties, and phlebotomy.
- Participate in flexible working hours to meet the needs of the service, including evenings and weekends.
The ideal candidate will possess basic literacy and numeracy skills, with a willingness to undertake NVQ level 3 in a care-related area. Previous experience in a care environment and manual handling of patients using lifting aids are essential. Strong communication skills are also vital for this role.
RequirementsIn addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate must be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends. A strong understanding of the NHS structure and current issues is desirable.
