Nurse Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Nurse to join our client's team and provide exceptional care to our elderly residents in their nursing home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular rounds to monitor the health and safety of elderly residents throughout the night
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including those for palliative and dementia care
• Document residents' medical histories and maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans, particularly for those with dementia needs
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care and support, with a focus on palliative care and dementia support
• Collaborate with daytime nursing staff to ensure continuity of care, especially for residents with complex needs
• Communicate effectively with residents and their families to address any concerns or provide updates on their condition, with empathy and understanding for those in need of palliative or dementia care

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse qualification (RGN) and valid UK NMC Pin
• Experience in elderly care or nursing home settings, with a focus on palliative/end of life care
• Proficiency in developing and implementing care plans
• Strong medication administration skills, including specialized requirements for palliative and dementia care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly important when providing support for families of residents with dementia or palliative care needs
