The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our family business, Slades Garage, which has been serving the community for over 40 years. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in a variety of vehicles, performing routine maintenance tasks, and conducting thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a variety of vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and general automotive tasks.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately pinpoint issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:
  • Motor Technician: 3 years (required)
  • MOT Tester experience would be an advantage
