About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Safety Engineer to join our team in Havant, Hampshire. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe design, development, and delivery of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading product safety and managing the work of the product safety team
  • Defining and maintaining a product safety culture across all LM UK RMS business areas
  • Providing technical leadership and direction with respect to safety programmes on the portfolio of LM UK programmes
  • Implementing, coordinating, and conducting programme safety and environmental related activities in accordance with company procedures

Requirements:

  1. Recent, relevant experience of implementation of safety programmes in a prime contractor/systems integration environment
  2. Working and current knowledge of UK and EU safety related legislation (e.g. Health and Safety at Work Act)
  3. Environmental legislation and management systems (e.g. ISO 14001)
  4. Defence and commercial safety standards such as Def Stan 00-056, Def-Stan 00-055, Mil Std 882, IEC61508, DSA02

Salary:

The salary for this role is £85,000 - £105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
