Job Opportunity

The Belay Foundation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Support Worker to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support two young individuals, Jack and Luke, who have experienced trauma and complex needs.

As a Specialist Support Worker, you will provide patient, calm, and responsive care, helping to establish a trusting relationship with the boys. You will work closely with the parents to understand their needs and develop a care plan that meets their requirements.

We are looking for an individual with experience working with young people, ideally those with neurodivergent conditions or who have experienced early trauma. You will need to be able to remain calm and connected under pressure, and be willing to work collaboratively with the family to implement effective care strategies.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £14, as well as opportunities for training and professional development. You will also receive ongoing support, peer supervision, and clinical supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and stability to Jack and Luke
  • Develop a trusting relationship with the boys and their parents
  • Work collaboratively with the family to implement effective care strategies
  • Provide patient, calm, and responsive care
  • Support the boys in their daily activities and interests

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally those with neurodivergent conditions or who have experienced early trauma
  • Ability to remain calm and connected under pressure
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with the family
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
