Job Title: Children's Specialist Worker

The Belay Foundation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Specialist Worker to join our team. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting two young boys, aged 16 and 17, who have experienced trauma in their early years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting relationships with the boys, gradually increasing independence and confidence.
  • Provide patient, calm, and responsive care, ensuring a sense of security and stability.
  • Support the family by spending time with the boys, engaging in activities that promote emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the parents to develop and implement models of care that meet the family's needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a neurodivergent or trauma-informed setting.
  • Personal maturity, ability to remain calm under pressure, and willingness to work collaboratively with the family.
  • Reliability and flexibility to adapt to the family's evolving needs.
