About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Markets Strategist to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in evaluating energy markets and ancillary service markets for Europe, identifying participating criteria for all relevant asset types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate energy markets and ancillary service markets for Europe, identifying participating criteria for all relevant asset types.
  • Represent Octopus Energy and actively participate in relevant industry forums to accelerate the energy transition.
  • Use data analysis, modelling, and first-hand market research to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Work with product teams to identify and undertake areas of analysis needed to deliver upcoming items on the roadmap.
  • Collaborate with customers to navigate complex energy markets and understand the Octopus Energy offering.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience working in a similar role relevant to European energy markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex quantitative data and information.
  • Strong understanding of the energy industry and its trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
