Energy Markets Strategist

At Octopus Energy, we're revolutionizing the energy industry at an unprecedented rate of change. Our mission is to be the leading global provider of solutions that enable customers to unlock £30bn of value per annum from distributed energy resources (DERs). We're building a Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription business with a global addressable market of £2.4 billion per annum, by digitally connecting hundreds of thousands of DERs with energy markets.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate energy markets and ancillary service markets for Europe, identifying participating criteria for all relevant asset types.
- Represent Kraken and actively participate in relevant industry forums to accelerate the energy transition.
- Utilize data analysis, modelling, and first-hand market research to inform strategic business decisions.
- Collaborate with product teams to identify and undertake areas of analysis needed to deliver upcoming items on the roadmap.
- Work closely with customers to navigate the complex energy markets and understand the Kraken offering.
- 5 years of experience working in a similar role relevant in any European energy markets.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex quantitative data and information.
