About the Role

As a Strategy Development Engineer, you'll identify and drive new and complex opportunities for National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) growth, utilising your technical expertise to convert them into tangible solutions and services.

You'll develop engineering strategies, lead a small team, and mentor and develop them to achieve the best results.

Carrying out power system analysis, specialist solution design, and leading engineering activities, you'll develop models that provide engineering solution insights comparing proposed or modelled scenarios.

What You'll Need
  • A Power Systems background and experience developing engineering solutions to real-life scenarios and Net Zero challenges.
  • A STEM degree and experience in the electrical or utilities industry.
  • Experience conducting power system studies and building models that give insights into long-term strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of the electricity transmission industry and one or more programming languages.
What You'll Get
