Old Age Psychiatry Nursing Role

- Provide support & promote recovery to older people experiencing mental health/psychological distress due to acute physical health or social change.
- Assist nurse practitioners in assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans.
- Ensure that service users engage effectively with the agreed Plan of Care.
- Offer advice and support to non-mental health staff when dealing with patients with mental health problems.
- Promote a positive attitude to the care of service users.
- Attend and actively participate in training sessions, team/care planning review meetings, and supervision as appropriate.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the service and actively participate in individual professional and personal development.
- Undertake other duties as determined from time to time within the general scope of the post and adhere to trust policy and procedures.
