About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our accounts team at Edwards & Pearce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a high volume purchase ledger, including matching, batching, coding, and reconciling invoices, as well as payment runs and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and prioritize a substantial workload, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.
  • Liaise with suppliers and colleagues to resolve account-related queries and ensure seamless communication.
  • Work collaboratively with the accounts team to achieve business objectives and drive financial performance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the purchase ledger function.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in all aspects of purchase ledger, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
