Job Description:
This fantastic nursery located in the Brighton area is seeking a Lead Nursery Teacher to join their expanding team. The nursery is a 'Good' Ofsted rated establishment that provides quality childcare for parents and carers of children aged 0-5 years. The nursery is run with a family feel, ensuring staff and children's wellbeing is at the heart of everything they do.
Your Role:
As a senior nursery teacher, you will be leading the team to create activities in their room and forest school. You will be supporting the children and using your initiative to help them succeed. The opportunity would see you as the third in charge, working closely with the management to support the development and running of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be aware of and take responsibility for all aspects of health, safety and security.
- Oversee all children and manage their developmental stages, maintaining accurate records of observations, assessments and plans for all children's individual needs.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers to encourage open communication and involvement within the nursery setting.
- Be an inspiring role model for children and set high expectations that motivate and challenge them.
- Take responsibility for the support, development and motivation of your co-workers.
- Comply with all aspects of the EYFS framework, its policies and procedures and associated documentation.
- Ensure the curriculum is delivered to a high standard daily and consistently, and that all room colleagues are trained and competent in delivering quality education.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience working within a nursery/primary/pre-prep environment in the last 2 years
- Enhanced DBS check
- Flexibility and a fun personality that the children will be able to engage with
