About the Job

As Lead Professional for Adult Learning Disabilities, you will be responsible for providing leadership, management, performance monitoring, and strategic direction for the team. You will report to the Service Manager and will be expected to develop and motivate others, have a progressive mind-set, and build positive working relationships within the adult learning disability service and with partner agencies.

You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to high-quality care, as well as a commitment to continuous quality improvement. A willingness to undertake training relevant to the post is expected.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in mental health and social care or equivalent, with post-registration experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. You will also have sound knowledge of the national agenda for learning disabilities, clinical/risk assessment, and confidentiality.
