About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Leominster. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service user, Freddie, who requires 24-hour care.

As a member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing personal care, moving and handling, and supporting Freddie with his daily needs. You will also be required to administer medication, provide emotional support, and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our service user.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and support, and who is committed to building strong relationships with our service users and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care and support to Freddie, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assisting with medication administration and monitoring Freddie's health and well-being
  • Supporting Freddie with his daily needs, including meal preparation and household tasks
  • Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for Freddie, including ensuring his home is clean and tidy
  • Communicating effectively with Freddie's family and other members of the care team

Requirements

  • 3 months' previous care experience
  • Medication administration training
  • Personal care experience
  • Moving and handling training
