Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Belfast Real Estate team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading project management commissions, ensuring successful delivery of projects to time, cost, and quality targets.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead project management commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often for large or complex projects.
  • Client Interface: Act as the key day-to-day client interface, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time and cost targets and quality standards.
Scope

Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, depending on project complexity. Normal project values range from £10m to £40m. However, advisory services may involve larger projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Advice: Advise at a strategic level at the project conception stage, providing guidance on approaches to achieve client objectives.
  • Project Planning: Lead the establishment of overall success criteria, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
  • Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment: Plan for and manage quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
  • Project Governance: Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Project Planning: Ensure the production of detailed project plans.
  • Resource Procurement: Advise on the procurement of resources.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including KPIs to improve project performance.
  • Change Control: Manage the change control process.
  • Project Finances: Monitor and advise on project finances.
  • Project Information Management: Manage the flow of project information between the team and client.
  • Reporting: Ensure the production of formal project progress and other reports.
  • Client Interface: Take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
Marketing and Business Development
  • New Business Development: Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Bid Construction: Work with Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new work.
  • Client Pitches: Attend formal client pitches with Assistant Directors and Directors.
  • Project Case Studies: Ensure project case study, photograph, and project CV files are kept up to date.
  • Product and Service Improvement: Identify and act upon opportunities to improve project management products and services.
Qualifications
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality project management services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Ideally professionally qualified (MCIOB/APM or similar).
  • Degree or HNC level qualification.
