Job Summary:

R J Bull (Environmental Contractors) is seeking an experienced and skilled Machinery Operator to join our dynamic team. As an Environmental Machinery Operator, you will be responsible for operating a range of machinery, particularly excavators, to assist in the delivery of local environmental enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery, including excavators, dumpers, and various other machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting.
  • Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
  • Engage in physical labor as necessary to support project goals.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Travel to various project sites as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Machinery Operator, with a focus on excavator operation.
  • Up-to-date excavator qualification and relevant certifications.
  • Polite and the ability to perform physical tasks when required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home if required.
  • Valid UK driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications or certifications in machinery operation and first aid.
  • Experience in river and wetland restoration, construction, working in and around water and pond and lake construction.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations.
