Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Manager to lead our Warhead Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and testing warhead components and sub-systems in accordance with AWE's Product Lifecycle management process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of warhead engineers responsible for delivering capabilities such as the design of electronics systems packages, including the development of requirements and interfaces.
  • Provide manufactured concepts and prototypes through external and internal suppliers and test concepts and prototypes in line with verification plans developed from requirements.
  • Be accountable for delivering the functional capability and demand to the future programme requirements, applying the sub-function's strategy, and providing effective guidance as the main contact point for team members.
  • Maintain a technical capability that delivers critical skills and resources aligned to business requirements in order to deliver the integrated technical programme.
Requirements
  • Experience in electronic systems and systems engineering integration.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of driving delivery, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and manage your own workload.
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
