Job Title: Principal Realisation - Senior Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Realisation - Senior Manager to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance across our fissile projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting strategic direction for production processes
  • Interfacing with Tech Centres, Capital Project Teams, and delivery partners
  • Ensuring new facilities are operable and incorporate lessons learnt
  • Providing strategic thought leadership on future manufacturing capabilities
  • Setting and leading the strategic direction of work techniques
  • Challenging suggested designs and ensuring optimal, safe, operable production processes
  • Using learning from experience to embed best practice within the Design Houses and proposed manufacturing processes
  • Participating in Gate reviews and Design Reviews as part of the Intelligent Customer Team
  • Challenging assumptions within safety cases
  • Undertaking knowledge management and transfer of specialist knowledge into one or more potential successors
Requirements:
  • Strong technical leadership and change management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Degree or equivalent in a related discipline or equivalent significant experience
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to safety in all operations
