About this role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Local Organiser to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our regional office, you will be responsible for recruiting, organising, and campaigning to support our members in the Local Government sector.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in one-to-one communications, recruitment, and organising, with a proven track record of delivering results in a trade union or community organisation setting. You will also need to demonstrate a deep understanding of trade unionism and our union's values.
As a Local Organiser, you will be based at one of our regional offices but will be required to travel across Scotland to engage with members and deliver projects. You will need to be flexible with your working hours, as reaching members can be challenging during traditional office hours.

- Recruit and organise members in the Local Government sector
- Develop and deliver campaigns to support our members
- Build relationships with members, employers, and other stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with other regional officers to achieve regional goals
