About the Role

The EBRD seeks to appoint a senior economist to lead its work on promoting gender equality, economic opportunities, and human capital in its investments across Central and Eastern Europe. As Principal, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote inclusive growth, with a focus on women's economic empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies and programs to promote gender equality and economic inclusion in EBRD's investments.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including governments, civil society organizations, and private sector partners, to advance the bank's goals.
  • Provide transaction support, capacity building, and policy dialogue to promote sustainable development.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in economics, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in economic development, gender equality, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of gender inequality issues and their impact on economic development.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
