About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Community Team, providing specialist psychological services to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions using a range of methods, including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, and semi-structured interviews.
- Exercise autonomous professional responsibility and be legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of professional practice.
- Develop and implement holistic, person-centred interventions, utilising needs-led models such as the Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) model.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate client needs and develop interventions.
- Provide supervision and guidance to other staff members, including Trainee Clinical Psychologists.

Requirements
- Doctoral level advanced knowledge of Clinical Psychology theory and practice, psychological therapies, and their application.
- Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care, with experience of coordinating care within the context of multi-disciplinary care planning.
- Skills in the supervision of other staff members, including Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Specialist training in research design and methodology, systemic family therapy, EMDR, CAT, and neuropsychology.
- Experience of providing psychological services to individuals with neurological conditions.
Language
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, but Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
